EL DORADO, Ark. — The South Arkansas Arts Center (SAAC) has released its full schedule of 2026 summer camps, offering a wide range of creative programs for students throughout the summer in El Dorado.
According to information provided by SAAC, the camps are designed to give participants opportunities to explore interests in visual art, theatre, ballet, and digital design while building skills and making connections through week-long sessions.
The summer lineup begins May 29-30 with a 24-Hour Musical Camp for students in grades 8-12. Youth theatre camps will follow June 1-5, with sessions for younger children and junior students.
Additional June offerings include:
- Art Camp (grades 1-9) from June 8-12 and June 15-19
- Five Minute Play Project (grades 4-8) from June 8-12
- Story Time Ballet Camp (ages 3-6) from June 8-11
- Mini Art Camp (ages 3-6) from June 22-25
SAAC will take a brief pause for its summer musical production of Legally Blonde, with auditions scheduled for May 18, 20, and 22. Performances are set for July 9-12 and July 16-19.
Programming resumes in July with:
- Penguin Project (grades 3-12 and mentors grades 5-12) from July 20-25
- iPad Drawing Camp (grades 4-12) from July 20-25
- Pencil Drawing Camp (grades 4-12) from July 27-31
- Ballet Camps for junior and senior students from July 27-31
Scholarships are available for summer programs. Interested individuals are asked to complete an application and return it to SAAC. Approved applicants will receive a registration code. Students who previously received an Arts Academy scholarship for the 2025-2026 school year do not need to reapply.
