MONTICELLO – The University of Arkansas at Monticello’s Pre-Veterinary Club will host a family-friendly petting zoo fundraiser on Saturday, April 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the UAM campus behind the Agriculture Building.
The event, organized by the UAM College of Forestry, Agriculture and Natural Resources, is open to all ages and will feature a variety of hands-on activities with animals.
Admission is $10 per participant, while parents may enter free when accompanying children.
According to event details, attendees can expect an interactive experience that includes a petting zoo, animal feed, horse rides, and cotton candy.
Organizers say the fundraiser supports a larger mission, with proceeds going toward a summer trip to Belize. During the trip, Pre-Vet students will provide veterinary care and services to underserved communities while gaining valuable hands-on training in animal health and welfare.
The event will take place at 1408 Scogin Drive in Monticello, with signs directing visitors to the location on campus.
