MONTICELLO, Ark. — Drew Central School District has announced the hiring of Joe Spatafora as the new Head Football Coach of the Drew Central Pirates, according to a statement released by Drew Central Athletics.
Spatafora brings an accomplished coaching résumé to Drew Central, compiling 179 career victories, 41 playoff wins, and two state football championships during his career. He has also coached teams to multiple state runner-up finishes and numerous district championships.
In addition to football success, Spatafora has led programs to 12 Boys and Girls Powerlifting State Championships and six state runner-up finishes combined.
In the announcement, Drew Central Athletics described Spatafora as a coach known for building disciplined, competitive, and relationship-driven programs. The district also highlighted his focus on student-athletes and his commitment to excellence.
“Coach Spatafora has established a championship culture everywhere he has coached,” the statement read. “His leadership, passion for student-athletes, and commitment to excellence make him a perfect fit for Drew Central.”
Drew Central officials encouraged the community to welcome Spatafora and his family to Pirate Nation as he prepares to lead the program into the upcoming football season.
