Lady Jacks Power Past Arkadelphia, Secure State Tournament Berth

CROSSETT, Ark. — The Warren Lady Jacks earned a spot in the 4A State Tournament with an 8-1 win over Arkadelphia in 4A Region Tournament play in Crossett.

Warren jumped out to an early lead, scoring two runs in the first inning to go ahead 2-0.

Arkadelphia answered with a run in the third inning, cutting Warren’s lead to 2-1, but the Lady Jacks responded with power at the plate. Raeleigh Milton delivered a two-run home run to extend the lead to 4-1.

Warren put the game out of reach in the sixth inning, scoring four runs. Two of those runs came on a two-run home run by Breize Fellows, helping the Lady Jacks stretch the advantage to 8-1.

Warren cruised from there to secure the regional tournament victory and clinch a berth in the 4A State Tournament.

The Lady Jacks had several strong performances at the plate. Haven Johnson, Natalie Hargrave, Blythe Calloway, Breize Fellows and Raeleigh Milton each went 2-for-3. Milton and Fellows each hit a two-run home run. Charlee Wardlaw finished 1-for-3, while Bayleigh Miller went 1-for-4.

Warren faces Nashville today in regional tournament action.
