WARREN, Ark, – The Warren Lady Jacks used a dominant first half and a flurry of second-half goals to secure a 7-1 victory over Little Rock Mills on Monday, May 4.

Mills struck first, finding the net in the 15th minute to take an early 1-0 lead. Warren responded quickly just four minutes later when Azul Garcia fired a shot from 25 yards out. The Mills goalkeeper got a hand on it but misplayed the bounce, allowing the equalizer to slip in.
The Lady Jacks continued to press. In the 25th minute, Allison Mondragon nearly gave Warren the lead with a low shot that struck the post. Moments later, she made sure of it, finding the back of the net to put Warren ahead 2-1.
Mondragon added to her tally in the 29th minute, breaking free on goal and finishing with a low shot past the keeper to extend the lead to 3-1.
Warren continued to build momentum late in the first half. In the 37th minute, Ally Adair’s shot was stopped by a handball from Mills, resulting in a penalty kick. Adair stepped up and delivered, striking a powerful shot into the roof of the net to give the Lady Jacks a 4-1 lead heading into halftime.
The second half saw more of the same from Warren. Just minutes in, Mondragon sprinted down the left wing and finished at the far post in the 45th minute to make it 5-1. She completed her hat trick in the 53rd minute, pushing the lead to 6-1.
Two minutes later, Anna Arroyo added another goal from the right wing, extending the lead to 7-1. The goal triggered the sportsmanship rule, shortening the remainder of the match.
Warren closed out the match with a 7-1 win.
With the victory, the Lady Jacks improve to 8-7-1 overall and 6-1-1 in conference play. Warren will return to action Thursday on the road against White Hall.
