Packed Pep Rally Sends Warren Lady Jacks Off to First-Ever State Championship Appearance

WARREN, Ark. — The excitement surrounding the Warren Lady Jacks reached another level Wednesday afternoon as the Warren School District hosted a community pep rally at Lumberjack Arena ahead of Friday’s 4A State Championship softball game.

And judging by the noise inside the packed arena, the entire town appears ready for the moment.

Students from every campus level, from Pre-K all the way through high school, packed into the gym after stepping away from the regular school day to celebrate the historic achievement. Handmade signs filled the stands, banners waved in the air, and chants echoed throughout the building as community members joined students in cheering on the Lady Jacks.

The atmosphere inside Lumberjack Arena was electric from start to finish.

Assistant football coach and local crowd favorite Darveon Brown served as MC for the event, keeping the energy high and repeatedly getting the crowd roaring with excitement as the rally unfolded.

The members of the 2026 Lady Jack softball team were introduced individually before taking center stage to thunderous applause from the crowd.

Warren Athletic Director Bo Hembree delivered an emotional speech highlighting the dedication, determination, and hard work this group of players has shown throughout the season to reach this historic milestone.

Head softball coach Fielder Dufrene then addressed the crowd about the challenge that awaits Friday morning in Hot Springs.

And fittingly, the Lady Jacks’ biggest game in program history will come against one of their biggest rivals.

Warren will face the Monticello Lady Billies in the 4A State Championship game, renewing the long-standing rivalry between the two schools from opposite sides of the Saline River.

The championship matchup is scheduled for Friday at 10 a.m. at Majestic Park.

It will mark the first state championship appearance in the history of the Warren softball program.
