WARREN, Ark. – Community members, business leaders, local officials, and customers gathered Thursday morning to celebrate the grand opening and ribbon cutting of Big Chiefs, Warren’s newest business, located on Smith Road.
Owned by Mike Nichols and his children, Kaylee, Josh, and Joseph Nichols, Big Chiefs officially opened its doors Wednesday before hosting a grand opening celebration Thursday at 10 a.m.
A large crowd attended the event throughout the morning, helping welcome Warren’s newest business. Members of the Nichols family were on hand for the celebration alongside a full staff as they assisted the steady flow of customers arriving to see the new facility.
Following the ribbon cutting, Big Chiefs offered gasoline for $2.88 per gallon for a two-hour period, drawing long lines at the pumps and providing substantial savings for customers. Numerous prizes were also given away during the celebration.
Located at the corner of Smith Road and North Martin Street (Highway 8), the new facility was busy with visitors exploring the store and its offerings.
Inside, customers will find a fully stocked convenience store featuring snacks, candy, drinks, convenience items, vehicle accessories, and maintenance products. The business also includes a spacious dining area with booth seating where customers can enjoy meals on-site.
One of the store’s primary attractions is its hot food selection. Big Chiefs serves a full breakfast buffet each morning featuring items such as eggs, bacon, and biscuits. Lunch is available throughout the remainder of the day and includes Chester’s fried chicken, gizzards, potato logs, and a variety of other hot food offerings.
The facility is designed to accommodate both passenger vehicles and commercial traffic. Fuel pumps for cars are located on the east side of the building, while dedicated truck fueling stations are located on the west side.
Throughout Thursday’s celebration, the Nichols family and their staff remained busy assisting the large number of customers who stopped by to experience the new business.
The opening of Big Chiefs adds a new convenience store, restaurant, and truck stop option for residents and travelers in Warren. The business offers fuel, hot food, convenience items, and a dedicated space for both passenger vehicles and commercial trucks.
Big Chiefs is open daily from 4 a.m. until 8 p.m. and is now serving customers at its Smith Road location.
