WARREN, Ark. – The Bradley County Historical Museum has launched a new YouTube channel, creating another way for residents, former Bradley County citizens and history enthusiasts to explore the people, places and stories that helped shape the community.
The channel, titled The Bradley County Historical Museum, is still in its early stages but already includes videos highlighting important parts of Warren and Bradley County history.
Early uploads include an AETN interview with Ralph Conrad Deal about his experiences during World War II, along with videos focused on Warren’s historic African American business district, commonly known as Catfish Row.
The new channel is part of the museum’s continuing efforts under Board President Mark Deal, who succeeded longtime Board President Jenelle Lipton in January of this year.
Lipton gave years of service, leadership and precious personal time to the Bradley County Historical Museum and the Warren community. Her commitment helped strengthen the museum’s role as a place where local history can be preserved, studied and passed along to future generations.
Under Deal’s leadership, the museum is continuing to look for new ways to share Bradley County’s history with the public. The YouTube channel provides a digital space where the museum can share historic interviews, photographs, local research, educational material and stories that may be difficult for many people to experience in person.
The online format also gives former Bradley County residents a way to stay connected to their hometown’s history, while introducing younger generations to the people, events and institutions that helped build the community they know today.
