Peña Farms Delivers First Box of Tomatoes for 2026

HERMITAGE, Ark. — The first box of tomatoes for 2026 was brought in by Perla Reynoso, a family member of Maria and Victoriano Peña of Peña Farms in Hermitage, according to the Bradley County Extension Service.

Victoriano Peña has been farming since 2013 and produces approximately 20 acres of tomatoes and other produce. The variety featured in the first box was Celebrity.

Other tomato varieties grown by Peña Farms include Roadster, Pink Girl, Bradley, and Purple Cherokee.

In addition to tomatoes, the farm raises squash, yellow and red melons, okra, cucumbers, cantaloupe, bell peppers, jalapeño peppers, banana peppers, potatoes, onions, purple hull peas, pinto beans, and watermelon.
