WARREN, Ark. — The Warren Branch Library officially launched its 2026 Summer Reading Program on June 11 with a special presentation by Craig O’Neill and Dr. Sue Martin that drew a large crowd of children and families.

Library officials thanked O’Neill and Martin for helping kick off this year’s program and providing an entertaining and educational experience for attendees.

According to comments shared following the event, more than 130 children and parents attended the kickoff program. O’Neill read his original story, The Grinch Who Stole the Pink Tomato Festival, a creative tale inspired by Warren’s annual Pink Tomato Festival.

Dr. Martin contributed illustrations that accompanied the story, helping bring the presentation to life for the audience.

The successful kickoff marked the beginning of another summer of reading, learning and family activities at the Warren Branch Library. The annual Summer Reading Program is designed to encourage literacy and foster a love of reading among children throughout the summer months.

Library officials expressed their appreciation to O’Neill and Martin for their involvement and to the many families who attended the event, helping make the 2026 Summer Reading Program kickoff a success.
