Entergy Arkansas expands summer customer care events, offering free fans and bill assistance across the state

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – As summer temperatures continue to climb, Entergy Arkansas is expanding in-person customer care events across the state, including an additional event in Little Rock at the Watershed Family Resource Center where a limited number of free fans will be available to help customers stay cool during the hottest months of the year. These pop-up events connect customers with in-person support, including bill management tools, payment assistance resources and energy-saving tips.

In addition to the event at the Watershed (3701 Springer Blvd., Little Rock) on Wednesday, July 29, pop-ups are scheduled for:

  • July 20 – Star City Civic Center 201 Liberty, Star City
  • July 21 – Marzell Baptist Church, 200 S. Gould Ave., Gould

Each event will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Customers planning to apply for LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program) assistance should bring the following items:

  • A driver’s license or state-issued ID
  • Social Security card or number
  • Proof of all income
  • The most recent utility bill(s) for cooling and heating (regardless of service provider)
  • Lease agreement (if living in subsidized housing or if utilities are included in rent)

As temperatures rise and energy use increases, Entergy Arkansas is focused on helping customers manage their bills while staying comfortable. The company’s online Bill Toolkit connects customers to energy efficiency tips, bill management options and financial assistance programs designed to make energy costs more manageable.

“Our goal is simple: meet our customers where they are to make it easier to stay cool, manage their energy bills and access support available to them. That means physically in the communities and with a range of digital tools that help them take control of their energy use,” said Ventrell Thompson, vice president of customer service. “From providing free fans at the Watershed to offering flexible payment options and assistance programs, we’re committed to helping Arkansas families navigate the summer with confidence.”

Entergy Arkansas offers several convenient payment solutions so customers can choose what works best for them:

  • Pick-A-Date allows customers to select a due date that aligns with their schedule.

  • AutoPay ensures payments are made on time without the hassle of checks or postage.

Customers who may need additional flexibility are encouraged to explore deferred payment arrangements or extensions through the myEntergy app or online account.

Connecting customers with financial assistance
Through its “Beat the Heat” initiative, Entergy Arkansas is providing targeted support for customers who need it most. This includes bill payment assistance, free fans, energy efficiency kits and partnerships with local organizations to reach communities statewide.

Assistance programs include:

  • The Power to Care, which offers emergency bill payment support for seniors and customers with disabilities.
  • Single Stop, a tool that helps customers quickly check eligibility for a range of assistance programs.
  • LIHEAP, applications open for summer and winter beginning in January 2027.

Helping customers track and reduce energy use
Customers can also take advantage of tools like myAdvisor through their myEntergy account to monitor daily energy use, set alerts and identify ways to lower consumption. These insights can help customers better manage their monthly expenses and avoid surprises on their bills.
