Sandy Lynn Hollingsworth, 1962-2026

Sandy Lynn Hollingsworth age 63, born November 13th, 1962 of Gravelridge, Arkansas, entered the arms of her Lord and Savior on July 13th, 2026, peacefully and at her home surrounded by loved ones. Sandy was a loving wife, mother, sister, GaGa, Memaw, and true friend to many. Sandy always put others above herself and had a true servant’s heart. She was a true example on this earth of what it is to be Christ-like. She loved her Heavenly Father and family more than life itself.

She married the love of her life, Jerry Lynn Hollingsworth on May 25th, 1984. She had three children who loved her just as much as she loved them: Wesley Vernor Hollingsworth (Kaina) of Traskwood, Arkansas, Lacey Aaron Hollingsworth of Gravel Ridge, Arkansas, and Ashley Leanna Huitt (Joe) of Warren, Arkansas. She had 7 precious grandchildren: Magdalene Grace Hancock, Bryce Aaron Hollingsworth, Walker Vernor Hollingsworth, Lynnleigh Reece Huitt, Mayleigh Jo Huitt, Olivia Grayce Hollingsworth, and Hadleigh Faith Hollingsworth. Her greatest joy in life was her precious grandchildren. She was fun spirited, and kept everyone around laughing. She enjoyed many things in her life including her animals, beach trips, and hunting with her husband. She truly lived her life to the fullest every single day. She spent many years as an educator and school counselor. She was a beacon of light for many children and coworkers in her career. She has one baby sister whom she dearly loved, Tanya Chancellor, and one brother, Tyson Thompson.

She was preceded in death by her loving mother Lorece Langley Thompson, fathers Leroy Langley and Cecil Thompson, and big brother Raymond Culp. Sandy was a proud member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Gravel Ridge, Arkansas. She will be missed more than words could ever explain, but thanks to our Lord and Savior, we will see her again.

Church service was 2:00PM Thursday, July 16th, 2026 at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Williams and Rev. Rodney Grice officiating. Burial was in Gravelridge Cemetery by Frazer’s Funeral Home.
