WARREN, Ark. — Young baseball players looking to compete at a high level will have an opportunity next month as the South Arkansas Blue Chips host tryouts for their 10U Major/AAA team.

The South Arkansas Blue Chips organization says its core team is formerly known as the South Arkansas Aces, which compiled a 53-20-3 record and is coming off what the organization describes as a strong performance in the state tournament.
The tryout will evaluate players in several areas, including:
- 40-yard dash
- Arm strength
- Catching
- Hitting
The organization has also announced Gary Pace as head coach. According to the promotional materials, Pace brings an extensive baseball background that includes:
- Two high school state championships.
- Coaching seven NCAA Division I athletes.
- Recognition as a Division I Louisville Slugger All-American.
- Experience developing numerous college athletes.
In a social media post, the organization said players do not have to be local to participate, noting that the team expects to compete in USSSA, 2D Sports, and Perfect Game events during the upcoming season.
