Despite recent rainfall in portions of South Arkansas, residents are being reminded that burn bans remain in effect across Bradley County and several surrounding counties.
The City of Warren issued a reminder Tuesday, August 25, that Bradley County and the City of Warren remain under a burn ban, according to Warren Fire Chief Chuck Moore.
The reminder comes as some areas have received rainfall in recent days, which may lead residents to believe burning restrictions have been lifted. However, the existing burn bans remain in place until they are officially lifted by local authorities.
As of Tuesday, active burn bans remain in effect for Bradley, Cleveland, Ashley, Union, Calhoun and Lincoln counties.
Residents should continue following all burn-ban restrictions and avoid outdoor burning while the bans remain in effect.
Saline River News will provide updates as local burn bans are lifted or conditions change.
