Hermitage High School is asking community members to help put more books into the hands of students through a month-long book donation drive in September.
The school is accepting new and gently used books appropriate for students in grades 7 through 12. Donations may include fiction, nonfiction, graphic novels, manga, biographies and books from a variety of other genres.
School officials said donated books will help build the school’s library collections while giving students more opportunities to discover new stories and explore their interests through reading.
“Every donated book creates another opportunity for a student to discover a new story, explore an interest, or simply fall in love with reading,” the Hermitage School District said in announcing the drive.
Books may be dropped off at the front of Hermitage High School throughout the entire month of September.
