KINGSLAND, Ark. — Kickstart Kingsland has announced the postponement of several planned community projects and events, including the Get Rhythm Music Festival, a pageant and construction of the Kingsland Amphitheater.
The organization said its board made the decision following a meeting and after discussion and consideration. The festival, pageant and amphitheater construction have been postponed until further notice.
“We understand that many people have invested their time, resources, and support into these projects, and we do not take this decision lightly,” Kickstart Kingsland said in its announcement.
All festival sponsors will receive a full refund, according to the organization, with those refunds set to begin being processed this week.
Kickstart Kingsland also thanked its sponsors, volunteers, vendors, performers, community members and others who have supported the organization and its projects.
“The encouragement and generosity we have received from our community have meant more than we can adequately express,” the organization stated.
Kickstart Kingsland said the announcement was not the update it had hoped to share, while expressing gratitude to those who have supported its efforts to bring events and opportunities to Kingsland.
“Thank you for your understanding, patience, and continued support of our community,” the organization said.
No timetable was announced for when or if the festival, pageant or amphitheater project could resume.
