Mildred Trotter Crosby, 92, of Warren, passed away Aug. 4, 2026. Born July 7, 1934, to the late James and Ida Mae Trotter. She was a woman of unwavering faith, quiet strength, and unconditional love, whose life reflected compassion, grace and devotion to her family.
She was united in holy matrimony to George Crosby Sr. and together they shared sixty wonderful years of marriage, building a loving home rooted in faith, family and commitment.
A faithful member of Bethel AME Church in Warren, AR., Mildred loved the Lord and remained steadfast in her faith throughout her life.
As a devoted housewife, she found joy in caring for her family and home. She had a special talent for quilting, preserving fresh vegetable through canning, and tending to her beautiful flower gardens.
Whether she was making quilts for loved ones, canning vegetables from the garden, or admiring her flowers in bloom, she found happiness in life’s simple blessings. Her gentle spirit, warm smile, and loving heart touched everyone she met and will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, George Crosby Sr.; parents, James and Ida Mae Trotter; beloved daughter, Jerrilyn Crosby; beloved grandson, Chris Crosby; ten sisters and three brothers.
She is survived by her children, George Crosby Jr. (Darlene) of Baton Rouge, LA., Martha Gray (Michael) of Alexander, AR., Mary Moore, Helen Darrough both of Little Rock, AR., Yolanda Crosby of
Warren, AR., Cheryl Gardner of Wilmar, AR.; sister, Barbara Ann Dobbins of Indiana; 17 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren; a host of other relatives, church family and friends.
Funeral service was held Aug. 9 at Bethel AME Church in Warren, AR with Rev. Debra Cooper officiating. Burial was in Palestine Cemetery in Johnsville, AR. Arrangements by Hammons Funeral Home.
