UAM BSN Graduates Achieve 100% First-Attempt Pass Rate on National Exam

The 2026 graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program at the University of Arkansas at Monticello recently achieved a 100% first-attempt pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).

This achievement marks the program’s first 100% first-attempt pass rate since 2023.

The NCLEX-RN is a standardized licensure exam required by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing for nursing graduates seeking to become registered nurses. Passing the exam demonstrates that a graduate has met the national standard of education and training necessary to begin practice as an entry-level nurse.

The graduating cohort includes Kaitlyn Clark, from Hamburg; Annie Figueroa, from Warren; Harley Latta, from Warren; Fabiola Mondragon, from Dumas; Graci Philips, from Star City; Courtnee Poppy, from Maumelle; and Noemi Salazar, from Hope.

Amanda Smith, dean of the School of Nursing at UAM, said, “The School of Nursing is extremely proud to celebrate a 100% first-time NCLEX-RN pass rate for our 2026 BSN graduates, reflecting the dedication, perseverance and excellence of our students and faculty. This outstanding achievement demonstrates the strength of our nursing curriculum and commitment to prepare graduates with a foundation of knowledge, clinical judgment and skills necessary to provide safe, high-quality patient care and to continue to grow professionally and impact the future of nursing.”

The UAM School of Nursing offers multiple degree pathways for students pursuing careers in nursing, including an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Nursing, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), an RN-to-BSN advanced placement program and a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). Students who complete a technical certificate in Practical Nursing (PN) can continue their education through the AAS, which serves as a licensed PN-to-RN fast-track program.
