Warren High School cross country runners Sophie McKinney and Khournti Johnson have put together a pair of strong performances over the past two weekends, earning medals and top-10 finishes against regional competition.
At the Lori McDougald Memorial Invitational hosted by Hermitage on Saturday, Sept. 19, McKinney earned second place in the Senior Girls Division. Johnson also turned in a strong race, finishing eighth overall in the same division.
One week later, McKinney followed that performance with another top-10 finish at the El Dorado Wildcat Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 26. She placed 10th overall in the Senior Girls Division and earned another medal.
The back-to-back performances give Warren a strong early-season showing as the cross country schedule continues into the fall.
