UAM Volleyball Falls to Arkansas Tech in Three

MONTICELLO, Ark. — The University of Arkansas at Monticello volleyball team returned to Great American Conference action Friday afternoon, hosting Arkansas Tech University inside Steelman Fieldhouse. The Weevils fell to the Golden Suns in three sets.

FIRST SET (25-13 ATU, ATU leads 1-0)

Arkansas Tech opened the match with an early advantage before UAM cut the deficit to 13-10. The Golden Suns responded with a 7-0 run and pulled away to take the opening set, 25-13.

SECOND SET (25-19 ATU, ATU leads 2-0)

The second set was tightly contested early, with the teams tied at 9-9. Arkansas Tech eventually created separation, but the Weevils battled back to within two at 19-17 before ATU closed out the set, 25-19.

THIRD SET (25-14 ATU, ATU wins 3-0)

Arkansas Tech controlled the early portion of the third set and built an 18-6 advantage. UAM responded with a late push, highlighted by service aces from Ella Cline and Isabella Garcia, before the Golden Suns took the set, 25-14.

UP NEXT
