Warren Junior Jack Tayshawn Edwards receives offer from SEC school

According to multiple sources, including 42 Sports media organization, incoming Warren eighth grader, wide receiver, and cornerback, Tayshawn Edwards of the class of 2027 received a scholarship offer from Ole Miss this past weekend following a camp with the Rebels.

Edwards also confirmed the offer on his twitter account @TayshawnEdwards yesterday, June 15, 2022.

The Junior Jack wideout, who featured for Warren’s seventh grade Jacks in 2021-2022, is listed at 5’7″, 138 lbs. He ran a 4.6 forty-yard dash at the 2022 Rebel Football Camp. 42 Sports says that more offers are likely to be made for Edwards now that Ole Miss has made the first move towards the Junior Jack.

Edwards is the son of another former Lumberjack that fans will remember from the class of 2006, Jonathan Cooper. Cooper was the quarterback for 2006 Warren Lumberjack team which went undefeated throughout the regular season, winning a conference title. Cooper himself had a cannon of an arm and a natural feel for the game.

Edwards is the son of Jonathan Cooper and Eureka Parham-Cooper.

He is pictured with Ole Miss Coach Kevin Bolden. Bolden was at Arkansas a few years ago and most recently at Florida last season.
