Grice and Hester win Warren Ladies’ Golf Tournament

The team of  Wanda Grice of Fordyce and Emma Hester of Sheridan shot six under par 66 to win the First Flight of the Warren Ladies  Scramble Wednesday, July 13, at Warren Country Club.  The team of  Sonia Barker and Shelley Impsom of Smackover  placed second with  four under par 68.  Nancy Vittitow of Warren and Shaun Anderson of Hot Springs Village won third with a 73. Players from Camden, El Dorado, Fordyce, Hot Springs, McGehee,  Monroe, LA, Monticello, Norphlett, Sheridan, Smackover, and Warren competed.

In the second flight the team of Treena Andrews of Monroe and Maxine Canterberry of El Dorado won first place.  Terri McCaskill and Kay Harding of Monticello won second   Placing third were Faye Lewis and Suzan Morgan of Monticello.   

The third flight winners were Guiana Elliott and Susan Crawford of Monroe, and second was the team of Jean Williams and Diane Goodman of El Dorado.  Placing third were Margaret Marsh of El Dorado and Juanita Pyle of Smackover.

Lisa Higgins of Warren won the prize for  Longest Drive.  Guiana Elliott of Monroe, LA, won Closest to the Pin, and Straightest and Longest Drive was shared by Maxine Canterberry of El Dorado and Stacey Davis of Monticello.

Warren teams were Lisa Higgins and Glenetta Burks, Libby Mann and Lisa Hutchinson of McGehee, and Nancy Vittitow and Shaun Anderson of Hot Springs Village.  Lisa Higgins, Libby Mann, and Glenetta Burks chaired the event.  

Sponsors of and contributors to the tournament included Arkansas Superior Federal Credit Union, First State Bank, , Union Bank, Warren Bank,  Massey’s Florist, Mitchell’s Lumber and Hardware, Sissy’s Log Cabin of Pine Bluff, and Super Valu, 

Members of the Men’s Golf Association provided carts for the event; and Joe Burks of Men’s Golf helped with the carts.  Club staff of Lisa Hargis and Kellar Bigham provided food and Club service for the event.
