Friday’s performance looked much improved despite the final scoreline. Warren played with intensity and grit. The Jacks found themselves down just 13-6 after the first quarter through two baskets courtesy of Tessa Andrus and Aaliyah Walton.
Watson Chapel stepped things up offensively in the second, extending their lead to 32-13 at the halftime break. Walton and Andrus would each add a three in the second half, but it was not enough to overcome the deficit.
Warren remains without point guard Cherish Dooley through an injury.
Three Lady Jacks scored six points on the night. Those included Andrus, Walton, and Aniyah York.
Michaela Stanley posted five points.
Andrus, Paris Wright, Raven Harris, and York each had two rebounds a piece.
The Lady Jacks’ overall record moves to 1-13 with an 8-4A record of 0-6. They feature again on the road at LR Mills Tuesday, January 24.
