New Edinburg All-School Reunion planned for this summer

Re-New-ing Edinburg will be the sponsor of the New Edinburg All School Reunion which has been held continuously since the mid 80’s or approximately 40 years.  The event was first held at the New Edinburg School and recently moved to the New Edinburg Community Center.  According to Mavin King, a 1956 graduate, Ms. Nan Bussey Russell, a 1929 graduate of New Edinburg High School, was the oldest graduate attending the first reunion. Plus, Mr. Lash Frey was the moderator for the event.  Organizers over the years have included Rex Trammel, Frankie Hall, Bobbie Bell Dunlap, Marvin King and numerous other graduates of the 1950’s era.

This year’s reunion will be held July 8, 2023 at the New Edinburg Community Center and will include a catered meal by The Golden Girls restaurant located in Warren whose owners are New Edinburg graduates.   Once the menu is finalized, tickets for the meal will be for sale and must be purchased in advance of the event.  Additional details will be provided once plans for the event are finalized and all students, teachers and friends are encouraged to make plans to attend.
