Both Dollar Generals in Warren temporarily closed, but hoping to reopen in the coming days

Both Dollar General stores located in Warren are temporarily closed according to management as of Wednesday, February 22, 2023.

Saline River Chronicle has spoken with the store manager at the Smith Rd. location in north Warren across the Street from Johnson’s Hardware. According to the store manager, their location was notified Wednesday, February 22 that they would be temporarily closing for a few days. The reason described for the closure was “safety.” No further information was available as to the reason of the closure, but the manager did say that the store is hoping to reopen this Saturday.

We also made contact with the Central Street Dollar General as well Thursday. A person with knowledge of the situation at that location described the same situation. They were notified Wednesday of the temporary closure.

Many residents around the community contacted Saline River Chronicle Thursday morning inquiring about the closures. Both stores are heavily utilized by local residents.

The Hermitage Dollar General confirmed their location is open for business.

Saline River Chronicle will continue to follow this story and post any future updates.
