WARREN, Ark. – In a heartfelt moment during the Mayor’s Report at the Warren, Arkansas City Council meeting on April 10, 2023, Mayor Reep read out Ordinance A-680. The ordinance, which was passed by the council, was in honor of the late Coach Don Whittemore and his lifelong dedication to education and the Warren School District.
Coach Whittemore was a beloved coach and teacher in the Warren community for many years, and his impact on generations of students cannot be overstated. The ordinance was a fitting tribute to his life and contributions to the city.
During the reading of the ordinance, Coach Whittemore’s wife, Cecilia Whittemore, who is also a former Warren teacher, and eldest son John were in attendance. The emotional moment was a reminder of the lasting impact that Coach Whittemore had on his family, his students, and the Warren community as a whole.
