WSD discusses personnel matters

WARREN, Ark. – The Warren School District Board of Education held a meeting on April 10, 2023, to discuss various personnel matters, including retirements, resignations, and certified hire recommendations. The meeting took place at the district’s administrative headquarters.

Retirements:

Regina Scroggins, the Brunson Elementary Principal with 37 years of service, is retiring.

Resignations:

The board members also accepted the resignations of four certified staff members. Elizabeth McKinney, the Assistant Principal at Eastside, and Misty Reynolds, a 2nd Grade Instructor at Eastside, tendered their resignations. Kristin Weeks, a 6th Grade Instructor at Warren Middle School, and Randi Hasley, the Cheer Sponsor at Warren High School, also resigned.

Certified Hire Recommendations:

To fill the vacancies created by these resignations, the board members approved the following certified hire recommendations: Elizabeth McKinney will now serve as a 2nd Grade Instructor at Eastside. Lisa Courtney was hired as WHS English Instructer. Brooke Hogue was named WHS FACS Instructor. Logan Evans was hired as WHS History Instructor. Eric Greene was named a WHS History Instructor, Susan Hennell as WHS Math Instructor, and Ginnie Sellers as WHS Math Instructor.
