WARREN, Ark. – The demolition of another downtown Warren building is set to begin Monday or Tuesday of next week as the old Bryant’s Furniture store is scheduled to be removed according to the City of Warren.
Saline River Chronicle understands that work is planned to start as early as Monday, May 22 or Tuesday, May 23, 2023 on the former Main Street store. The last couple of weeks has seen the demolition of the five buildings south of the Bradley County Courthouse that were deemed too dangerous to be occupied. County crews are continuing the cleanup effort in that area as of Tuesday morning, May 16.
Now, the City plans on starting the tearing down process of the Bryant’s Building on the west side of Main Street.
Saline River Chronicle will pass along any street closure information when the demolition work begins. However, we understand that the City hopes to not have to close a portion of Main Street but for a short period of time. More information will be provided soon.

Will Warren just become a shell of itself after all the historic downtown buildings are torn down? Is there any planning being done for new building where the old ones are demolished or will Warren jus become a ghost town? These demolitions are signs of a weak town council who are grasping at any possible changes that might improve downtown but are so inept they are really contributing to the demise of the town.
Agreed should have been saved long ago in an effort to save the history of that beautiful town.
