WARREN, Ark. – The main portion of the 2023 Bradley County Pink Tomato Festival kicked off with a vibrant display of lights and a bustling crowd Thursday evening, June 8th, 2023. The festivities, which will continue throughout the weekend, promise a delightful experience for residents and visitors alike.
The courthouse tower was lit in a radiant shade of red in honor of the Pink Tomato Festival. This grand gesture set the tone for the festivities, symbolizing the community’s enthusiasm for the annual celebration.

Despite earlier bad weather, thousands of attendees flocked to the Carnival for its first armband night. Laughter, screams of delight, and the tantalizing aroma of delicious food filled the air as thrill-seekers enjoyed the exhilarating rides and carnival games.
As the night progressed, the scene was set for the main festival activities scheduled for Friday and Saturday. Food trucks were busy completing their setups, ensuring that attendees would have a wide array of delectable treats to indulge in. The Main Stage was assembled to the south of the Courthouse Square, ready to host a lineup of exceptional performances Friday and Saturday.

Friday’s schedule promises a day filled with entertainment, community engagement, and showcases of local talent. From 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Information Booth at the Chamber, sponsored by Bradley County Medical Center, will provide valuable resources and assistance to festival-goers. The Arts & Crafts exhibition on Myrtle Street and Cedar Street Emergency Services Building will captivate shoppers with an impressive array of creative products.
For those with an appreciation for craftsmanship, the Quilt Show at the YMCA will be a sight to behold from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Meanwhile, local banks will open their doors for an Open House event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., inviting attendees to explore their facilities and learn more about their services.
The Square will come alive with the sounds of Local Talent from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., showcasing the exceptional performers and musicians in the community. As the afternoon progresses, the Tomato Packing Contest on the small stage from 4:45 to 5:30 p.m. promises excitement as participants demonstrate their skills in handling the town’s famous produce.
In a heartwarming celebration of the youngest members of the community, the Cutest Baby Contest will take place at Grace Cowboy Church at 5 p.m., where proud parents will compete to showcase their adorable little ones.
Following this charming event, Derrick Rose will take the stage on the Square from 5:30 to 6 p.m., presenting a delightful combination of comedy and magic that is sure to captivate the audience.
The evening will continue with the “Great Bowls of Fire” Salsa Contest on the small stage, sponsored by Warren Bank & Trust, from 6 to 6:30 p.m. Participants will showcase their culinary skills, sharing tantalizing salsas that will be judged for their taste and creativity.
As the sun sets, the celebration will shift gears with DJ Jam-a-Lot taking over West Cypress Street from 8 to 10 p.m. Attendees can dance the night away to an electrifying mix of music, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Simultaneously, Josie Hargis will grace the Main Stage with her captivating performance, enchanting the crowd with her soulful melodies and dynamic stage presence.
