7:01 pm UPDATE: Not long after the original publication of this article, power was restored in most locations throughout Bradley County. We’ll be publishing an updated article soon.
A significant power outage caused by severe storms that swept through South Arkansas on Sunday night and Monday has left many residents in Bradley County without electricity. Entergy, the local power provider, has been working diligently to restore power to affected areas, but as of 6:05 pm, a large number of customers remain without power.
Saline River Chronicle has learned that electrical crews are actively engaged in resolving the issue and are working tirelessly to restore power as quickly as possible. However, due to the extent of the damage, the estimated time of power restoration has been pushed back. Entergy has reached out to its customers to provide an update on the situation, indicating that power is now expected to be restored by Tuesday evening at 10 pm.

Initially, there had been hope that power would be restored late Monday evening, but unfortunately, that is no longer the case. The delay in restoration has caused numerous businesses to close their doors on Monday, unable to operate without the necessary power supply.
Adding to the challenges faced by Bradley County residents, another heat advisory has been issued for Tuesday, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. This advisory serves as a reminder for individuals to take necessary precautions to stay safe and hydrated during the high temperatures, particularly with limited access to air conditioning.
Entergy continues to prioritize the restoration efforts and has assured customers that every available resource is being deployed to resolve the situation as quickly as possible. In the meantime, residents are encouraged to check on their neighbors, especially the elderly and vulnerable, to ensure their well-being during this challenging time.
Saline River Chronicle will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as new information becomes available.
