Carla Gill, age 79 of Warren, AR passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at CHI St. Vincent in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born on October 8, 1943, in Bossier City, LA to the late Vance Ozment and
Evelene Brown Ozment. Carla was an elementary school teacher for 38 years, who touched the lives of many children throughout her career. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Warren, Arkansas, where she faithfully served the Lord since her childhood.
She is survived by her husband, Doyle Gill, who she married on December 19, 1964. She is also survived by her son, Jason Gill of Warren, grandchildren, Lucila Gill, Elizabeth Gill, and Tony Gill all of Woodlawn, a brother, Jerry Ozment and spouse Faye of Crossett, and a sister, Donna Raney and spouse Mark of Hermitage. Carla also stepped in as grandmother when her mother passed away to Donna’s children, Jeffrey Raney, Blake Raney, and Haley Puterbaugh and their children. Carla was a wonderful aunt to Jerry’s children; Chuck Ozment, Dennis Ozment and Joanie Ozment. Family was of most importance to Carla, and she loved her family and church family with all her heart.
Funeral service was at First Assembly of God Church in Warren on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., with burial in Outlaw Cemetery of Hermitage by Frazer’s Funeral Home.
