WARREN, Ark. – In a spirited gathering that united the community around a shared love for football, the Warren Lumberjack Booster Club hosted a Lumberjack Football Meet and Greet Dessert Auction on Thursday, August 10. The event took place at 6pm at the Immanuel Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, drawing a substantial crowd of eager supporters and enthusiasts.
The event was a resounding success, capturing the essence of community camaraderie and rallying support for the upcoming 2023 Lumberjack Football season. The night buzzed with excitement as a diverse array of desserts and other coveted items went under the gavel, with all proceeds dedicated to bolstering the Lumberjack Football program.

Mike Nichols served as the auctioneer for the big event. A generous assortment of desserts and valuable items were auctioned off. In the end, over $9,000 was raised.
The evening’s highlight was the introduction of the esteemed Senior Lumberjack squad. Among the attendees were also the promising members of the Warren Junior Jack team.
The Football coaching staff, including head coach Bo Hembree were on hand to chat with supporters. The Lumberjack Cheerleading squad was also in attendance and led the audience in a spirited cheer.
A delectable hamburger and hot dog supper was provided by Union Bank.
In a poignant moment, Joel Tolefree was honored with a Lumberjack Hall of Fame plaque, recognizing his exceptional contributions as a dedicated booster. Although his formal induction into the Hall of Fame took place in 2022, this event served as a heartfelt acknowledgment of his enduring impact on Lumberjack Athletics.
With excitement running high, attendees looked ahead to the imminent preseason scrimmage, where the Lumberjacks are set to face off against the Fordyce Redbugs. Scheduled for August 18 at 7pm, the game will unfold at the iconic Jim Hurley, Jr. Stadium. It promises to be a thrilling encounter, setting the stage for an electrifying season of Lumberjack Football.
