Three Lumberjack Sports Hall of Fame inductees receive their award plaques

WARREN, Ark. – Recently, three revered figures from the Lumberjack community were bestowed with well-deserved recognition of being presented their award plaques after being inducted into the Lumberjack Sports Hall of Fame. Former Lumberjack quarterback sensation, Danny Brazeel, and the esteemed press box announcer, Randy Rawls, were honored with commemorative plaques in the presence of their families and distinguished guests this Wednesday at Rob Reep Studio. Then, Thursday evening during the Lumberjack Meet and Greet event at Immanuel Baptist Church, Joel Tolefree was presented with his Lumberjack Sports Hall of Fame plaque as well. Tolefree is a member of the 2022 Hall of Fame Class.

The event was attended by family members of both honorees. Lumberjack Booster Club President Mark Jennings and Warren Mayor Gregg Reep, who is associated with the Hall of Fame Committee, were in attendance as well to help deliver the awards.

The Hall of Fame Committee has faced its share of challenges since 2020, impeding the traditional inclusion of inductees in the Hall of Fame during the annual All-Sports Awards program. With a backlog of several plaques from the years 2020 through 2023 awaiting presentation, the committee has undertaken significant efforts to rectify the situation and bring these well-deserved acknowledgments to the forefront.
