WARREN, Ark. – The Warren Country Club played host to an exciting high school golf tournament this Tuesday, with the Warren Lumberjacks emerging as the dominant force, clinching victory by an impressive 14-stroke margin.

The Lumberjacks left their mark with remarkable performances by each member of the team, securing a total score of 230.
Leading the charge for the Warren Lumberjacks was Rhett Clanton, who displayed exceptional composure and skill to finish the day with a score of 73. Following closely behind, Carson Slaughter carded a 75, while Maxx McGaha recorded an 82. Landon Milton added an 88 to the team’s total, and Conner Curry rounded out the squad with a score of 122.
The combined efforts of the Warren team proved too much for their competitors to handle, with the Lumberjacks’ consistency and determination shining through.
Teams from across the region took to the course, battling for supremacy. The results from the tournament were as follows:
- Magnolia: 244 team total
- DeWitt: 312 team total
- Monticello: Only three players competed, so a team total was unable to be recorded
- McGehee: Two players competed, so a team total was unable to be recorded
- Crossett: 293 team total
- Hamburg: 301 team total
With their dominant performance on home turf, the Warren Lumberjacks have established themselves as the team to beat as they head into the District Tournament. Scheduled for September 19, 2023, this crucial event will once again take place at the Warren Country Club. Tee-off time is set for 8:30 a.m.
