Thelma Chambers Green of Warren, 1935-2023

Thelma Chambers Green of Warren, daughter of William Bryan and Essie Tanner Chambers, was born October 11, 1935 in Humnoke, AR, and passed from this life on Sunday, October 8, 2023 at her home. She was a member of Hickory Spring Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. She married Wilmot L. Green on July 23, 1953.

Thelma is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Woodrow Chambers, sisters Nanny Campbell, Mildred Huitt, Helen Poole and Mary Sue Chambers and grandsons Jonathan Green and Bryan Crowell.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Wilmot Green; sons Ricky Green of El Dorado, AR; Danny Green and spouse Nita of Warren, AR; daughters Gayle Plumb of Warren, AR; Cheryl Nelson and spouse Turtle of West Monroe, LA; grandsons Sam Plumb and spouse Bethany of Warren, AR; Andy Green and significant other Courtney Sellars of Warren, AR; Anthony Crowell of West Monroe, LA; and Tom Green and spouse Shannon of Charleston, IN; and granddaughter Nikki Outlaw and spouse Paul of Warren, AR; 12 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Graveside services were held Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Hickory Spring Cemetery under the direction of Frazer’s Funeral Home with Paul Outlaw and Ricky Green officiating. Pallbearers were Sam Plumb, Andy Green, Tanner Outlaw, Matt Huitt, Blake Huitt, and Tom Green. Honorary pallbearers were Stephen Crecilius, Pat Hammons, Joe Huitt, Dr. Kerry Pennington, Rev. Mike Garvey, Ty Huitt, Johnny Nolan, Scott Morgan, James Merl Crawford, Carroll Lathan, and Seth Jolley.
