Larry Wayne Scoles age 81 of Rison, AR died Tuesday October 17th, 2023 at the Veteran Hospital in Little Rock, AR. He was born July 16th, 1942 in Yell County, AR a son of the late Johnnie Elmer Scoles and Lea Lau Pearl Coats Scoles. He was a finishing and shipping operator for International Paper Company, a member of the Rison Church of Christ and the husband of Sylvie Stacks Scoles whom he married May 14th 1966 in Altheimer, AR and she passed away on February 8, 2019. Also preceding him in death is his son, Michael Shawn Scoles and his daughter, Carol Ann Scoles.
Surviving is his son, John Scoles, Rison, AR; brother James Scoles, Bigalow, AR and a sisters Sarah Smith, Sheridan, AR. 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services were 11:00AM Tuesday, October 24th at Rison Church of Christ in Rison, AR. Burial was in Plumerville Cemetery at 3:00PM.
