The Rotary Club of Warren met Tuesday, Dec. 12 inside First Methodist Church for its weekly meeting. The club heard from Warren Junior Rotarian Murphie Wilkinson after Jayden Ridgell spoke last week. Rotarian Carlton Davis then acknowledged a large donation from LaDonna Mathur to the Imagination Library, which the Rotary Club of Warren contributes to throughout the year. Davis then presented Rotarian Dennen Cuthbertson with a certificate and pin for being named a Paul Harris Fellow. The Paul Harris Fellow recognition acknowledges individuals who contribute, or who have contributions made in their name, of $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation.
The group then heard a brief update from Rotarian Jimmy Sledge on UAM’s basketball teams. The games are broadcast on 93.7 FM KHBM with Sledge on the call. The club will meet next Tuesday, Dec. 19 before taking a couple of weeks off in recognition of Christmas and New Year’s Day.
