NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – In a riveting non-conference clash in North Little Rock, Arkansas, the Warren Lady Jacks squared off against the undefeated North Little Rock Lady Wildcats of class 6A on Tuesday, March 5, 2024.

The first half saw North Little Rock dominating possession, relentlessly pressing forward in search of an early breakthrough. However, the Warren defense remained resolute, thwarting the opposition’s advances with a commendable display of alertness and coordination. Warren’s goalkeeper, Allie Adair, made a crucial save in the 16th minute, denying North Little Rock’s attempts to take the lead.
Despite North Little Rock’s persistent pressure, Warren remained dangerous on the counter, launching several incisive runs into the opposition’s territory. However, their efforts came up short, leaving the scoreline deadlocked at 0-0 as the halftime whistle blew.

The second half saw Warren emerging with renewed determination, gradually gaining a foothold in the match and posing a greater threat to the North Little Rock defense. However, it was the Lady Wildcats who struck first in the 53rd minute, capitalizing on a breakaway down the right wing to open the scoring with a well-placed shot from a tight angle.
Undeterred by the setback, Warren continued to press forward in search of an equalizer. However, in the 60th minute, North Little Rock doubled their advantage with a clinical counter-attack following a Warren free kick, extending their lead to 2-0.
Nevertheless, Warren refused to concede defeat and mounted a spirited comeback effort. Their perseverance paid off in the 76th minute when Anna Arroyo pulled one goal back for the Lady Jacks, latching onto a perfectly weighted through ball to slot home and inject fresh drama into the contest.
Despite Warren’s late surge, time ran out for the Lady Jacks as North Little Rock held firm to secure a hard-fought 2-1 victory.
With the loss, Warren moves to 1-2 on the season. They will travel to Hermitage for an in-county clash with the Hermits on Thursday.
