The Bradley County Veterans Museum staff and Bradley County Judge Klay McKinney hosted a retirement ceremony for Mrs. Dorothy Anders, who served as Bradley County Veterans Service Officer, and welcomed Mr. James “Jimmy” Williams to the role Friday, March 15 inside the Bradley County Veterans Museum.

Mrs. Anders announced her retirement after more than 22 years of service. Mr. Williams, SFC Arkansas Army National Guard (retired), was recently appointed by Bradley County Judge Klay McKinney to replace Mrs. Anders as the Bradley County Veterans Service Officer. Mr. Williams’ service in the National Guard included duty as an Administrative Clerk, Legal Clerk, Supply Sergeant, Training NCO, and Recruiter. Later on he was a Computer Engineering Instructor for the Warren School District at SEACBEC for 14 years. Additionally, he served as a Veterans Service Officer assisting veterans with Veterans Administration claims for the Arkansas Department of Veterans Affairs in Hope, Ark., for a one and a half years. In that role, he was responsible for supervising and training County Veterans Service Officers in the 10-county Southwest Arkansas region. Mr. Williams is married to his wife, Teresa, and they have one daughter named Kelli. Mr. Williams is available Monday and Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. His office is located in the Bradley County Veterans Museum at 210 North Main Street, Warren, AR 71671.
