Warren, Arkansas – St. James AME Church, located on St. James Street in Warren was the site of a most eloquent dinner Saturday evening November 20. It was the the 2021 “Angie Young’s Festival of Tables event named in honor of the late Angie Young. She loved decorating tables. Different people decorate tables and they are judged. It is a festive occasion that is all about love, peace and togetherness. Tickets are sold to raise funds and a fantastic meal is served by the church.
The Mistress of Ceremonies was Sis. Chanel Hooper and the opening prayer was rendered by Rev. Kurbe L. Newson, the St. James Pastor. Warren Student Bro. Bleyze Fellows read scripture. The occasion and welcome was given by Sis. April Harris. Mrs. Jennette Hooper was Chairperson of the event.
The Rt. Rev. Michael L. Mitchell is Presiding Bishop and Rev. Billy R. Reddick is the Presiding Elder. Rev. Kurbe L. Newson is Pastor of St. James.
