HERMITAGE, Ark. – In preparation for the upcoming Hermit Daze festivities, the Hermitage community is rallying together for a massive cleanup effort. Sponsored by Revitalize Hermitage and aligned with the Keep Arkansas Beautiful Campaign, the Hermitage Community Cleanup is set to take place on May 4th from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The agenda for the cleanup day is comprehensive and aims to spruce up various areas around town. Volunteers will engage in tasks such as trash pick-up at designated locations, power washing sidewalks to restore their sparkle, rejuvenating picnic areas by power washing tables, clearing debris from recreational spots, adding a touch of floral beauty to Main Street with flower planting, and enhancing the playground area in the park by spreading fresh mulch.
Despite the enthusiastic response from volunteers, organizers are still seeking more hands to join in the effort. A registration tent will be conveniently set up near City Hall, where volunteers can sign up and receive necessary instructions. To ensure everyone stays hydrated and energized, water will be provided throughout the cleanup day.
Residents and local businesses are urged to participate actively, not only in the organized cleanup activities but also by beautifying their own properties. This collective endeavor not only promotes a cleaner and more attractive community but also sets the stage for a vibrant and welcoming ambiance as Hermitage eagerly anticipates the upcoming Hermit Daze festivities.
For those eager to contribute to the community’s revitalization and showcase the best of Hermitage, mark your calendars for May 4th and join hands for a day of meaningful transformation and community pride.
