The festivities kicked off on Monday, May 13, with a special visit from Warren Mayor Gregg Reep, who read a proclamation honoring BCMC during National Hospital Week. Mayor Reep presented the proclamation to BCMC CEO/CFO Leslie Huitt, setting a tone of recognition and gratitude for the hospital’s contributions to the community.

Throughout the week, BCMC employees enjoyed several special treats. On Tuesday, May 14, Union Bank sponsored Adam’s Ice Cream Truck, which arrived in the late afternoon to serve delicious ice cream to the day employees. Union Bank staff later returned with more treats for the night shift, ensuring that all employees could partake in the celebration.

The appreciation continued on Friday, May 17, when First State Bank stepped in to cook and serve hamburgers with all the trimmings for BCMC employees. Beverly Rauls, Derek Grice, and Jessica Bradley from BCMC were seen enjoying the delightful lunch provided by the bank, showcasing the strong bond between the hospital staff and the local business community.
Adding a touch of color and creativity to the week, students from Warren Elementary School contributed artwork that was displayed in the main hallway of the hospital. The artwork, produced specifically for National Hospital Week, provided a heartwarming visual tribute to the dedication of the medical center’s staff.
The 2024 Hospital Week at Bradley County Medical Center was a resounding success, marked by community involvement, employee appreciation, and heartfelt recognition of the essential role healthcare workers play in the well-being of Warren and the surrounding areas.
