WARREN, Ark. – The Bradley County Veterans hosted a heartfelt Memorial Day Service on Monday, May 27, 2024, at the First Methodist Church of Warren. The service, which commenced at 11:00 am, was a solemn and respectful tribute to those who have served and sacrificed for the nation.
Clifford Wayne Clayton, Chairman of the Bradley County Veterans, opened the ceremony with a warm welcome, initiating the day’s events with a sense of reverence and gratitude. This was followed by a moment of silence to honor the fallen heroes.

The service was attended by a diverse group of local citizens, veterans, business people, and local leaders, all coming together to pay their respects.
Floyd A. Brown, Chaplain of the Bradley County Veterans, led the gathering in prayer, invoking blessings and offering thanks for the service members’ ultimate sacrifices. The National Anthem, powerfully sung by Felecia Doster, Choir Director at the First Methodist Church, resonated through the church, stirring a deep sense of patriotism among the attendees.
The assembly then stood for the Pledge of Allegiance.
Doster continued to inspire the audience with her musical talents, performing “America,” and leading a hymnal sing-along that included heartfelt participation from the congregation.
Reverend Dixon Platt, Pastor of the First Methodist Church of Warren, delivered the Memorial Day remarks. His speech poignantly reflected on the significance of the day, reminding all present of the bravery and sacrifice of the men and women in uniform.
Felecia Doster returned to the stage to perform “Let There Be Peace on Earth,” a song that beautifully captured the spirit of hope and unity. The service concluded with a moving rendition of “God Bless America,” sung by the entire audience, creating a powerful and communal moment of tribute.
