AHF Products Warren Plant Set To Close

The following is a press release from the City of Warren:

The City of Warren has been notified by A.H.F. Products that they intend to shut down their hardwood flooring mill in Warren on September 27, 2024. Mayor Gregg Reep was notified by special mail delivery Monday, July 29th. The city had no idea this was about to happen until receipt of the letter.

Upon receipt of the written notification, the mayor called Mr. Harry Bogner, Vice President of Operation for A.H.F. and discussed the decision. The mayor told him the city was saddened by the decision and would work with the company in any way to keep the plant open or to re-open. Mr. Bogner stated he did not expect a re-opening anytime soon. The mayor informed Mr. Bogner the city would be working to recruit new industry to Warren and had several prospects in the works.

According to Mayor Reep, the city intends to go to work recruiting any type of business that might fit in with the facility and employ people. Mayor Reep went on to state “the city will work to find new jobs for those affected by the shutdown of A.H.F. Products and do everything we can to see the plant facility re-opened in some capacity and provide jobs.”

At this time, the city is working with several prospects that will hopefully build new facilities in Warren, and employ new, good paying job opportunities. These recruitment efforts were underway prior to the announced closing of A.H.F. Products.
