Morolene Poole Momon, 1940-2024

Morolene Poole Momon, 84, of Warren, passed away July 28, 2024. Born May 30, 1940, to the late Marshall and Ruthie Davis Poole. She attended and graduated from Hermitage High School with honors of Salutatorian.

In 1961 she moved to Portland, OR and married her high school sweetheart, Robert Momon. To this union five children were born.

She received the holy spirit one Sunday morning while at a neighbor’s home. A few years later her and Robert decided to move back to Arkansas. While living in Banks, AR, she joined Lenark Church of God in Christ.

Morolene loved being a mother and a housewife for many years. She worked at different factories and retired from Burlington. She loved singing and praising the Lord. She remained a faithful member until her health failed her.

Morolene was also preceded in death by six siblings, Marshall, Charles Poole, Hunter Thomas, Mary Miller, Gloria Smith, Emma Broughton and grandson Brandon Hargraves.

She is survived by her children, Melody Cross, Linda Lawson (Rodney), Angela Hargraves (Donald) all of Warren, Tyrone Momon, Dewery Momon both of Banks; special son-in-law, Christopher Cross; special niece whom she raised, Carol Miller Bell (Bobby); siblings, Kathy Poole, Cornilla Poole, Cordilla Poole all of Warren, Rose Jean Marshall of Hermitage, Dewayne Poole of Minnesota; twenty grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service was held August 3 at Holy Deliverance COGIC in Warren with Rev. J. L. Mosley officiating. Burial was in Childs Cemetery, Banks. Arrangements by Hammons Funeral Home.
