The Rotary Club of Warren met Tuesday, Aug. 13 at noon for its first meeting of August at the First Methodist Church. President Dana Harvey began the meeting with a presentation of a Rotary Gavel to past president Dennen Cuthbertson, who served as president from 2021-2024. After that presentation, Cuthbertson introduced his program of Warren High School Head Football Coach Bo Hembree. Coach Hembree gave the crowd a recap of the 2023 season before going into reviewing the 7-on-7 games and team camps the Lumberjacks went to over the summer. Coach Hembree continued with a position-by-position breakdown of the team and talked about the team’s schedule, which features a tough nonconference schedule with two 5A schools in Greenbrier and White Hall along with 4A semifinalist Elkins. Then the conference slate starts off with a challenging road trip to face a DeWitt team that Hembree expects to be near the top of the league. Hembree concluded the presentation by answering a few questions from those in attendance.
