RISON, Ark. – Rison Shine is calling on community members to lend a hand for the upcoming Rison in the Fall Festival, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 12. The organization is hosting a volunteer interest meeting and dinner on Monday, Sept. 30, at 6 p.m. at the Fairgrounds Meeting Room in Rison.
Festival Director Douglas Boultinghouse emphasized that while the event is an all-day affair, volunteers are not required to commit the entire day. “If you have an hour or two to spare, we would greatly appreciate your help,” Boultinghouse said. “We have various tasks that need attention, including setup the night before, decorating, traffic control, selling t-shirts, and emptying trash cans.”
Boultinghouse highlighted the need for additional support as the festival continues to grow. “Our Rison Shine team is made up of a small group of dedicated volunteers, but with the festival expanding each year, we’re looking to involve more of the community,” he explained.
Anyone interested in contributing to the festival is encouraged to attend the Sept. 30 meeting. “Join us for dinner and help us make this year’s fall festival another successful event,” Boultinghouse added.
For those seeking more information or unable to attend the meeting but still interested in volunteering, please contact Douglas Boultinghouse at (870) 510-2433 or Rison Shine President Celeste Beatty at (501) 909-9441. Alternatively, potential volunteers can email their interest to [email protected].
