Men’s Golf Close Out Battle for the Belt in Ninth Place

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – Men’s Golf finished the last round of the Battle for the Belt tournament Tuesday in Hot Springs, Arkansas, finishing in ninth place with a final score of 881 (+17). 

Chase Kisver led the Boll Weevils firing a final round of 3-under par (69), to finish tied for sixth with a three-round score of 213 (-3).

Owen Page finished tied for 13th with a final even score of 216, after shooting even (72) in the last round.

After firing a third round of 4-over par (76), Senior Aidan Rooke finished tied for 37th with a final score of 8-over par (224).

Daniel Taylor shot a three-round total of 235 (+19) to finish tied for 64th, after compiling a score of 84 (+12) in the third round. 

Sawyor Hamilton competed individually and shot 84 (+12) in the final round to finish tied for 67th, scoring 239 (+23).

Competing Individually, freshman Carson Slaughter finished tied for 71st, 25-over par (241), after shooting 19-over par (91) to finish the tournament in round three.

Landry Rogers, a freshman out of Lindsay, TX, finished in 73rd with a score of 242 (+26), after scoring 5-over par (77) in the last round.

Rounding out the Weevils is junior Hunter Edwards, who competed individually, with a three-round total of 268 (+52) to finish in 80th place. Edwards shot 12-over par (84) in the last round.

The Boll Weevils will return to the greens Monday, Oct. 21 and Tuesday, Oct. 22 in the Hrnciar Invitational from the Territory Golf Club in Duncan, Oklahoma.
