PINE BLUFF, Ark. – South-central Arkansas may soon see a break from dry conditions as the National Weather Service in Little Rock has forecasted the potential for measurable, widespread rainfall by the end of October. Rainfall totals ranging from 0.25 to 1.5 inches are expected across much of the state, with areas near Little Rock predicted to receive between 0.5 to 1 inch of rain through October 31, 2024.
The NWS noted that while there may be a few showers in the next couple of days, the heaviest rainfall is projected around Halloween. This rain could help mitigate the wildfire risk currently impacting parts of Arkansas.
Looking further ahead, the precipitation outlook for October 30 to November 3 suggests a higher chance of above-normal rainfall in the region, giving residents hope for continued relief from dry conditions. Stay tuned for further updates as this weather system develops.
