The Rotary Club of Warren met inside First Methodist Church Tuesday, Nov. 12 at Noon. The club heard from three Junior Rotarians from Warren High School. Evelyn Torres spoke first and was followed by Emmanuel Strong with Geraldine Sedano rounding out the group. The meeting then moved to the program for Rotarian Andrew Tolbert with James Wells as the speaker. Wells of Commercial Bank plays a vital role in the events the Bradley County Chamber of Commerce hosts. First, Wells touched on the Tent or Treat Halloween event held a couple of weeks ago. It was a resounding success with more than 20 tents and featured candy, hot dogs, cotton candy, costume contests, and more that both kids and adults could enjoy. Moving on from there he talked about the upcoming Christmas Parade and Saturday, Dec. 7. Market on Main will start at 2 p.m. on that day and last until 8 p.m. The parade will take place at 6 p.m. Wells said he expects the parade to be as successful as previous years. He also let the group know that if anyone wanted to do a float there is a place to register online and paper forms in the Warren Municipal Building. Wells answered a couple of questions from the group to end his presentation.
